Spring Project

So here's a list of starters I found on someone's blog...they suggested it as a project for your kids...to help them really get to know you....I thought it would be a great way to get some facts down on paper (or screen) and inspire me to write at the same time. So here goes....

This could take a really long time!

1. List 20 random facts about yourself.
~ I play the piano by ear...wish I could also read notes but never developed that skill even with lessons.
~ I love peanut butter. That fact that I listed this as number 2 tells you how important it is to me I think.
~ I write. Not often enough, not like I would like to, not when I should...but it's important to me.
~ Remember these are random....I adore my husband and our two sons.
~ I can remember really great things about my childhood all the way back to like 3 years old...I've talked to other people
and apparently that's a big deal...lots of people don't remember that far back. I must have been paying attention.
     ~ I love animals...extreme love!
~ I have a large freckle under my left foot. (It said random).
~ I'm left handed and I've always been proud of that...it's something different about me.
~ I hated my name in elementary school but in high school I realized it was different and not too common so I actually
       learned to love it.
    ~ I bite my nails...which I hate....but I've never been able to stop.
~ I can't stand to wear t-shirts or anything that touches my neck. It's a real phobia. I don't think there's a name for it though.
~ I collect owls. I've pretty much stopped over the past twenty years but I still have them all...in boxes....lots of them.
~ I'm scared of frogs. Not scared as it terrified...but I think they look slimy and they jump..which makes me jump. And I would            never want one to touch me.
    ~ I love Elvis.
~ I love to read...anything...books, encyclopedias, dictionaries, the internet....can't stop.
    ~ I can't swim but wish I could.
    ~ I didn't learn to ride a bike until I was 11 or 12.
    ~ I get a rash if I eat figs.
~ I'd rather eat something salty than something sweet.
~ In an extremely magical moment of perfection, I once hit a softball in a high school ballgame that sailed over the most distant fence and I made a homerun...all while 3 classes of kids were standing at the gate watching.
